Please bear in mind that these characters are not taken directly from the book, but are Sandhurst's interpretation of similar mythical characters. This SQUIRREL Pie Bird measures 3" tall and is dated 4-12-2000 As you can see, SASSY is full of detail. An excellent job. My daughter, CATPARS, and I have just purchased a very large pie bird collection from Marlene Sandhurst of Sandhurst Creations. These pie birds were showcased and displayed in her shop and are no longer being sold – most of them are number one and prototypes of others that were made in later years.
