Up for auction and from a very old and elegant estate is this pair of Art Nouveau candlestick holders. These are guaranteed to be old and not new reproductions! I couldn't find any damage but I did see some of the gold tone paint has chipped off and is worn here and there due to them being so old and handled over the years. One candlestick holder stands approximately 8" tall and the other one stands approximately 8-1/4" tall. These candlesticks are kinda heavy, one weighs 1 pound 0.6 ounces and the other one weighs 1 pound 1.9 ounces. It looks to me that the bases might be made of cast iron and the actual figures made of brass? I am unsure but this is just my opinion, I looked at some of the locations were the paint was chipped off at and it looks like brass underneath. I am no expert in metals so please view my pictures provided and judge for yourself. An excellent addition to any home, good luck bidding!
