Make sure to check out our other MILITARY ANTIQUES in our ebay store by clicking the "Eagle Antiques" store logo above then click the "MILITARY: Rev War" category in left hand collumn. c.1700's Japanese Samurai Armor This matched set of 18th century Samurai armor or arm coverings measure 27" long and are covered with both metalic chain and iron plates to protect the hands, fore-arms and upper arms (the smaller iron plates measure 2 1/4" and the longer plates measure 7 1/2").The interior is made of a coarsly woven linen and the outside has an attractive pattern that the iron plates are sewn onto.Condition: these were worn and used heavily in battle so they show wear and tear especially to the cloth but they are intact and have all the metal plates (the plates were painted more recently so they would display nicer).If you have a Samurai sword these would look great alongside your sword in your display !You see a lot of early Samurai swords from the 1700's but the arm coverings rarely survived and this matched pair are in fairly nice condition considering their age.
