1794 Gloucester Guild of Merchants (de Gilda Mercatorum) Vellum Admission Document. Dated 25th September, "we do further certify that Henry Burgh of Stroud in the County of Gloucester, Gentleman, is a Burgess and Gild Merchant of the said City of Gloucester and is lawfully and duly intitled unto and ought to have and enjoy all and every of the Liberties Privileges....." etc. A short history of the Guild from the time of King John onwards precedes the appointment text. Two revenue stamps applied at upper left. Ref. 528. Approx. 420x355mm., with tag at foot but lacks seal, folded and light yellowing present in places.
