LOFTUS This is a wonderful well preserved copy of this VERY hard-to-find classic The Mixing & Reducing Book (for the use of publicans and spirit dealers and retailers in general) published by William R. Loftus, London; this book doe’s not have a date but from all the research we have done it’s from the late 1800’s and probably from 1869, without a dust jacket; the boards are very clean but have a few bumps; tight spine; bottom corners bumped; very little foxing; text block clean, pages lightly tanned; previous owners have written there names in pencil inside the second page; this book is filled with the recipes for gin, brandy, rum, whiskey, cordials and liqueurs all written in the old ways and its fantastic to read. If you are looking for a one of a kind this is it! Payment is expected within 48 hours if using paypal.
