Description

This is a rare estate sale find that is in awesome condition.  This  kerosene  sad iron/ curling iron heater dates back to the late 1800's. It even has the original 4 inch wide wick in the metal lamp.  It measures 7 1/2 inches tall and 6 inches wide. It has a latch that allows the top portion to flip back. There is a hole in the back to pour the kerosene into the base. It has a curling iron that measures 11 inches long. Before electricity was used to heat irons and curling irons, This early kerosene oil heater was used to heat the them. It fits in the opening on the top that measures 4 inches wide. It is in excellent condition except for the wear of the black paint on the base as is to be expected with a piece of this age. This is a nice early piece of history that will add old time  Victorian charm to a primitive home.   Note: I had a very nice ebayer to give information on this piece. He stated that this was indeed a sad iron heater which I am sure that it isI purchased it at an estate sale, It was taged as an Antique Curling Iron Kerosene Heater and with me  , not being from the 1800's   :) took the tag for granted as such.It may be that the original owner may have used it for both because ,when you Google the Antique Curling Iron it talks about The Kerosene Curling Iron Heater. So, If this is not for curling iron use also, they will both still go together in this auction. :)Blessings to you.   I am always happy to combine shipping to save money. Check out my other items!
