Lot of 3, original, 1888 W. Duke & Son Tobacco Company N126 Series Triple Fold Tobacco Cards being from the " Rulers, Flags and Arms of All Nations " Series. The group of three include 2 cards of the thinner, folding variation - these are for the Nations of India and Bolivia - and the third being of the thicker, non-folding variation - for the Nation of Persia (modern day Iran). Each card features a bust portrait of the Head of the State in 1888 in the central panel flanked on one side by the Nation's Coat of Arms and on the other by the National Flag, with view, representative image or a scene from the Nation's history. Text on the back is basically advertisements for Duke products with everything from the number of cigarettes sold to the origin of their tobaccos. The folding Bolivia Card was issued with Turkish Cross Cut Cigarettes, the folding India Card was issued with Duke’s Cameo Cigarettes and the non-folding Persia Card was issued with Duke's Honest Long Cut Tobacco. The two triple fold cards each measure approx. 4 1/4" long while the triple fold card measures 2 3/4" wide and the non-folding card measures approx 2 1/2" wide. The triple fold cards are printed on medium weight card stock and the non-folding cards are printed on heavy weight card stock. All are printed with beautiful, high quality, color lithography. The cards have never been graded (they are direct from a local estate) and we are not experts in card grading but have tried to supply good quality scans (see below) and will try to describe the cards as best we can. Each of the 3 cards have light edge wear and with slight rounding to the corners of the folding cards (the non-folding card was issues with rounded corners). The triple fold cards have been folded along the vertical lines that separate the 3 panels. Each of the 3 Cards has light, uniform age toning to the backs and the non-folding, Persia Card has an area of surface thinning on the right hand side of the reverse.
