Lot of 2, original, 1888 W. Duke & Son Tobacco Company N133 Series Triple Fold Tobacco Cards being from the " State and Territorial Governors, Coats of Arms, etc. " Series. The group include cards for the States of Georgia and Vermont. Each card features a bust portrait of the Governor of the State in 1888 in the central panel flanked on one side by the State Coat of Arms and on the other by a Flag and a view from the State. On the reverse is a map of the state along with extensive text detailing the State's history and statistics (in 1888). Both cards were issued with Turkish Cross Cut Cigarettes. They each measure approx. 4 1/4" x 2 3/4" and are printed on medium weight card stock in beautiful color lithography. The cards have never been graded (they are direct from a local estate) and we are not experts in card grading but have tried to supply good quality scans (see below) and will try to describe the cards as best we can. Each of the cards have light edge wear and minor rounding to the corners. Each have been folded along the vertical lines that separate the 3 panels. They are generally clean both front and back. The Vermont Card has wear at the fold ends and the Georgia Card has a light crease at the upper right hand corner. See the images below for a good representation of the condition of these cards.
