*****THIS IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION***** You Are Bidding On An Antique Adjustable Drawknife Made James Swan In 1888. Drawknife is stamped James Swan Pat. July 31, 88 U.S.A. Wood handles fold inward and outward and are grooved so that they fold into blade, sort of like a folding pocketknife. I have seen a number of these drawknives but normally the handles are fixed, this is the first one that I’ve seen that is adjustable so that you can put the handles in a position that is comfortable for the user. James Swan drawknife is 15†long with handles folded, 23 ¼†with handles fully extended. Cutting edge of blade is 8†long by 1†deep with plenty of life left for sharpening. This is a very nice tool that has been taken care of over these many years. So don’t wait to bid because I hardly ever list items twice and when this item is gone, it’s gone.
