1918 'Your World is My World', WWI Parting, Bamforth An early divided back card with a view of a man in uniform comforting a woman. The parting of lovers was a common theme during WWI. "Your World is My World." Below is a verse from a song by published by the Lawrence Wright Music Co. "The fleeting hours have bid me come, / Bring gladness to your eyes; / Oh! happy moments come again, love! / We live just as of yore." This card was published by the Bamforth Co. of the UK, no number visible. It was sent by a lieutenant visiting Coney Island, NY to to a woman in Riverton, WY in 1918 ("Am in Coney Island seeing the wonderful sights."). Good condition--no cancellation to the front, just a bit of general wear and age-toning. A two cent stamp is present. Please see scans.
