★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a West Point ash tray, made in 1965 but never used and stored away and forgotten for more than forty years. It is in perfect condition except for a small part of the gold border around the West Point, which has been rubbed off (see the photo). The ash tray measures 7-1/2 inches square and would make a great addition to the collection of anyone who gathers ash trays. They really don't make them like this any more. The West Point Gift Store has not sold ashtrays like this for decades, and the ones they do have now go for $50 to $75 and do not display the West Point crest anywhere near as prominently as this one does (see http://www.westpointgiftstore.com and search for "ash tray").
