NEWSPAPER: Seattle Post - Intelligencer (aka Seattle P.I.) NOTE: The P.I. was a Hearst-chain newspaper, thus the Sunday Comics section is subtitled " Puck - The Comic Weekly." As is the case with most/all " Puck " sections, there is a strong concentration of King Features Syndicate strips. DATE : April 2, 1967 SIZE: This Section is printed in the FULL PAGE size.. Surface size of each page is 14-1/4" x 21-1/4 inches. Section totals 12 pages. CONTENTS: FULL PAGE Strips - Prince Valiant (#1573). By 1967 most newspapers were printing Prince Valiant in the 1/2 Page format. By 1967, examples of P.V. strips being printed in the Full Page format had become increasingly Scarcer. The Seattle P.I. was one of the " hold-outs" - the P.I. actually continued to print the Prince Valiant strip in the Full Page format all the way into 1971 when King Features finally discontinued the Full Page format.
