Beautiful 1978 3-piece set of Krewe of Poseidon Mardi Gras doubloons. Included are the plain and blue aluminum (thrown from floats) and the oxidized silver, a krewe favor-presentation piece. The oxidized silver is an overlay of silver on bronze, not pure silver. Poseidon for years depicted a sailing vessel on the reverse, in keeping with its God of the Sea persona. In 1978 a 1778-era U.S. ship was depicted. Get all three. All doubloons I offer are free of any damage from Hurricane Katrina. A great addition to your collection.
