Back in 2001, in Anaheim, California - eBay tried an experiment. They started their first EBAY LIVE! event. It was a rousing success that lead to consecutive events after that - from Orlando to New Orleans to San Jose to Las Vegas to Boston to Chicago in a few weeks!! I seem to remember that first year there were maybe 2-5,000 people or so. I could be way off either way on that.It was held in the Anaheim Convention Center and it didn't feel crowded at all. It was really an experiment - so everybody pretty much was having a lot of fun and didn't have any expectations. But in the end, it was a blast on all levels. We met lots and lots of new friends and we got the chance to start looking at eBay from a business point of view. We avidly started card trading with complete strangers that year - and that now has been repeated at every other LIVE over the years. It started in Anaheim.***Well, on that first day, we had a chance to line up and spin a big wheel for cool prizes. I won this cooler bag (yeah!) - and it has never been used. It's as it came on that day back in 2001. It is red and black and you see what the original logo looked like for eBay LIVE! It's made to keep items cool -- but it just as easily could be a small purse or messenger bag as it has the long straps attached. Either way, it's unique and very special. It measures approx. 9.5" wide x 9.5" high.I do not remember seeing more than a few of these around - but I have no idea how many were actually produced. As the entire event was a crapshoot anyway - probably not a lot.So, this auction is for a small piece of history - a MINT condition item from that time. It might have a small mark or blemish but this is exactly how the bag came to me.
