These are two silver aventurine speckled clear Murano art glass dishes, both with colored rims and two folds. Each piece is then cased in a coating of crystal clear glass. The aquamarine rimmed dish has a polished pontil with considerable age wear and measures 8-3/8" by 6-3/8" by 3-1/8" high. The larger teal rimmed piece also has two pulls on the rim and is 10-1/2" by 8-3/8" by 2-1/2" high. It has a pale yellow cast inside which makes the silver aventurine look gold from above. This piece has a polished bottom with slight age wear and a smooth 1-3/4" indentation in the center. Both dishes are in excellent, near mint condition with no chips, cracks or scratches and are beautiful pieces of mid-century Italian art glass. Selling on EBay is a hobby for me and not my only source of income. I obtain most of my items at low prices through various sales and auctions so I am able to list these pieces fairly reasonably. This does NOT mean they are reproductions or knockoffs. They ARE the real thing. I just don't need to list them at some outlandish price in order to pay overhead, buy food and keep the baby in diapers. So I invite you to please, enjoy my auctions--I do.
