The 2007 MERRIE MONARCH FESTIVAL HILO, HAWAI'I A Poster Sized Print "Hula Pa Ipu" by Harinani Orme Graphic Design by Nelson Makua Design Produced by Cunningham Gallery Just released, this poster was created to commemorate the 45th Annual Merrie Monarch Festival commencing April 11, 2007, in Hilo, Hawai’i. The sheet size measures 18†x 24†with a specific image area nearly as large. This years poster has been ideally sized to fit a stock sized frame or of course perfect for matting and a custom design. Each year the Merrie Monarch Festival, sponsored by the Big Island Visitors Bureau produces a poster of a different design to commemorate that year’s festivities. Consistently they sell out before the end of the festival yet no further runs of that poster are printed. The following year a completely new image is produced to honor the next festival. This years poster displays a painting by Big Island Artist Harinani Orme, rendered into poster configuration by Nelson Makua Design. Completely striking, this rendering will serve to commemorate the 2007 Festival, and the individuals; past, present, near and far who recognize the Hula to be so much more than just a dance.
