This will be Meigs County, Tenn. You are bidding on a very collectable MEIGS COUNTY COURTHOUSE Plate. Measures about 10 inches across. On the back it says: Meigs County was established in 1836. There have been two courhouses, the first built about 1839 was burned in 1904. These plates made available through Meigs County Bank, March 1, 1979. In gold on the back at the top, it has 242/300........I'm not sure, but I believe that means number 242 of only 300 made. I'm not an authority on plates, so ask questions before bidding. [OUR ITEMS GENERALLY COME FROM ESTATE SALES AND AUCTIONS....SO CHECK OUR AUCTIONS OFTEN, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT WE'LL BE OFFERING.] IT HAS ONE CHIP AT THE BOTTOM RIGHT, AND THIS CAN BE SEEN IN THE PICTURE. THAT IS THE ONLY FLAW I CAN FIND. BEAR IN MIND I'M NOT AN AUTHORITY. IF YOU ARE FROM THAT AREA, IT WOULD STILL BE A FINE COLLECTOR ITEM. I pack every item with extreme care. INSURANCE IS OPTIONAL. WE CAN NOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR LOSS OR DAMAGE IN TRANSIT. IF YOU ARE CONCERNED, BE SURE TO REQUEST THE INSURANCE. International bidders, please contact me, before bidding, with your location, for a shipping estimate.
