All produced High Quality cards using high quality papers, inks, and experienced employees and distributors. The cards were first produced in 1931 by Teich...followed later by Tichnor and Colourpicture. Production of Linen cards continued into the 1950's. Most of the cards were made from original photographs, which were later retouched in various ways, and colored in using the 5 color process. The paper that was used was a card stock with a fabric pattern that resembled linen....hence the term "Linen Postcards".
