The item up for bid is a 3pc.lot of vintage non-electric soldering or tinning irons. Two of them have heavy copper heads, one is marked "The Electric Materials Co. of North East, Pa., #3; the other one is marked "Ben Hur 3". They both have nice hand forged Y shafts. The first one is 16.5" long and has a turned soft-wood handle & the other is 13.5" long with a turned hard-wood handle. The 3rd one is a small headed one with a curved wire shaft and a decorative turned hardwood handle, unmarked. The Electric Materials Co. was started in 1915 to make copper working tools & trolley contact wheels. It's still in business today!
