Description

You are bidding on a lot of four 1950s Scoop trading cards in great shape:  Nos. 37 John Brown's Raid,  46 Pony Express Starts, 106 Bridge Crashes, and 122 "Wild Bill" Hickok Shot. Cards have white borders, mostly crisp edges and corners, clean well-focused artwork, decent centering and clean backs, although the John Brown card has print lines.  Scoop was issued in 1954 by Topps, whose advertiseing campaign called it "A prize collection of great American newspaper miniatures with full-color pictures of world headlines."   Fronts are multi-color artwork paintings of  famous events, with a caption and date in a white box to one side.  Horizontal backs are printed in newspaper format, with the story printed in column form plus a B&W picture of the subject.  Next card in the series is named in a black panel at the bottom.  Postage: $2.00.  I will accept PayPal, but prefer MO or personal check mailed to:  Gary Vacin, 25225 S. Flame Tree Dr., Sun Lakes, AS  85248.  Thanks for looking.  Please see my other vintage sports and non-sports card auctions.
