These are from my private collection. They are antique chevron 'watermelon' tabular Venetian glass trade beads. They are 4 layers consisting of green, white, red and white center. They look like little watermelons thus the name. They were made in Venice circa late 1800's to early 1900's. Trade beads were used as money as well a worn in African ceremonial rituals and for adornement. These beads are all appx 14.75mm long. Please see my other listings for more.
