terrisbooks Store I have no idea why they call these trade beadsvaseline beads, but they do. They are made from glass.They are saucer shaped, and flattened. There is somewear from age. These are around 100 years old and getting harder to findand also much more expensive than they were say 20 years ago.These are medium sized -- 1/2 inch in diameter by 1/4 incheswide, but size varies slightly. You can tell these are old beadsbecause there are minor scratches and signs of wear. Theyare really cool in bracelets and necklaces. Beautiful emeraldgreen color.
