Lot/Series of 50 Periodical Cicadas - 1998 Hatch - Missouri! (Please excuse the glare in the pic. Pic shows 6, but lot is 50) SHIPS TO: USA ONLY! INTERNATIONAL: Only if an auction is NOT for animals or animal parts - (animal parts includes all freeze-dried critters, insects, insect parts, cocoons, coral, coral jewelry, bone, bone jewelry, etc.) - then I will consider international shipments. Please contact me before bidding/buying. USA SHIPPING CHARGES: Flat Rate. You pay $6.00 for the first item/lot - all additional items in that shipment go FREE! Most shipments are sent by Priority Mail. That's right - TOTAL shipping charge for any combined shipment is just $6.00 - whether it's 1 item or 100! If your invoice does not reduce total shipping cost to just $6.00 then let me know and I will fix it. I reserve the right to ship by UPS Ground or Parcel Post on exceptionally heavy shipments, but that is very uncommon. Delivery confirmation is included free on all non-insured shipments of $50 value or more. POSTAL INSURANCE: Insurance is optional for all listings - it's your call. Rates will be $2.50 for any shipment valued up to $200, or $5.00 for any shipment valued over $200 (I pay any extra). ITEM DESCRIPTION: Collected in Spring 1998 in Columbia, MO. Each lot is 50 specimens, collected and preserved in alcohol. These will not all be perfect specimens, they are FIELD RUN but have been examined more closely than the other listings for cicadas. It is common for the ends of the wings on some to be curled and wrinkled, and a few in the lot may have wing damage, but you should get an 80-90% or better rate of very nice specimens on these. Nice material from a major hatch 10 years ago. We also have listed Periodical Cicadas from the 2008 hatch, collected in Kentucky. Check our other items to find them. We will soon have specimens from PA from 2008 also. Picture shows 6 specimens, but you will get 50. These will be shipped damp from alcohol and will need to be placed back into alcohol, into the freezer, or spread and dried soon after arrival. Check my listings for other insects, including freeze-dried caterpillars and cocoons for life-history displays. Shipping is free for additional items! museum exhibit or insect collection display of homoptera magicicada
