This week we feature a large selection of Victorian antiques—lots of period glassware including miniature lamps, early plates, statues and vanity items, in addition to 14 genuine Hummel figurines.Up for auction is a complete set of six Napoleon military conquest transferware plates. As shown, this complete set features six different scenes of Napoleon in battle. Each plate measures 7 5/8” in diameter, sits on a collar base and each is free of chips, cracks or repairs, with just minor, minor wear from age. Each central scene is done in black transferware with the elaborate militaristic outer plate edge done in green transferware. This outer borderwork includes alternating open-winged eagles with crown (a trademark symbol of Napoleon) and his “N” in an acanthus leaf cartouche. All six plates are marked by Digoin & Sarrreguemines of France on the reverse with the Lorraine coat of arms. Digoin & Sarreguemines was founded by Sarreguemines majolica in 1871 in Eastern France which is when the mark was used. Your chance to acquire the complete collection at once! No. We never require you to purchase insurance. We leave that option up to you. This is the default figure for $100 of insurance. If you only include $2.05, then your item(s) will only be insured for $100.4) How does the Shipping Special work? Our Shipping Special allows you to save money by purchasing more than one item from us. For example, if you purchase Item A with a $6 shipping fee and Item B with a $5 shipping fee, we will only charge you $7 (ie. $6 (highest shipping fee) + $1 (per additional lot won)). In this instance, you save $4. If you bought a third item with a $6 shipping fee, then we would charge $8 and you would save $9. This policy is universal, regardless of weight. So, if you purchase two 50-pound anvils, one ships for $1. Please remember that your invoice will be automated. Just provide your account number and we will gladly drop off your items billed to your account.6) Do you charge a handling or packaging fee? No. Our shipping fee shown in this auction is all-inclusive.7) I live locally. Can I pick up my item? Our retail store is in the process of being constructed and now only consists of a warehouse. Generally, we do not allow for pick up at this time. However, if you are in the Greater Portland area, we will often drop off at your location if you are willing to wait for a time that is convenient for us (usually not longer than a week).8) My item was damaged. What should I do? If you recevied a damaged item, please accept our apologies.
