This is an assembled set of early Buck Brothers Wood Carving tools. All the steels are in great condition, Not a Single Problem ! The handles are all new Hardwood Reproduction Handles finished with a fine, smooth surface and a light wax finish. New Ferrules are all Heavy Brass. One handle is different from the others and might be Cherry. 1. Tapered Carving Gouge with Medium or #7 Sweep, 11/16" Wide at Tip. Steel is 5" Long and overall Length is 10". Steel is smooth and shiny and free of pits. Buck Bros Logo with Deer Head indicates early 1900s manufacture. #8 stamped on Back. Sharpened Outcannel 2. Slightly Tapered Carving Gouge with Flat or #3 Sweep, 7/16" Wide at Tip. Steelis 4" Long and overall Length is 9 1/2". Steel is smooth and shiny and free of pits. Buck Bros Logo with Deer Head indicates early 1900s manufacture. "#3" and "B7" stamped on Back. Sharpened Outcannel. This tool has the different handle. 3. Veiner Carving Gouge with 1/16" Width. Steel is 4 1/4" Long and overall Length is 9 1/2". Steel is smooth and free of pits. Simple Buck Bros Logo. #11 stamped on other side. There is some black Age Spots on the side of this tool. Sharpened Outcannel. 4. Straight Chisel, Beveled Edge, 1/4" Wide. Steel is 4 1/2" Long and overall Length is 9 1/2". Steel is smooth and shiny and free of pits. Simple Buck Bros Logo on top of Blade. 5. Spoon Gouge,13/16" Wide. Steel is 5 1/4" Long and overall Length is 1010 1/2". Steel is smooth and shiny and free of pits. Early Buck Bros Logo. #8 stamped on Back. Sharpened Outcannel Shallow Sweep is a #5 according to Lee Valley catalog. This blade has seen some wear although there is a lot more steel for future use. 6. Back Bent Gouge with 1/2" Wide Edge. Steel is 5 3/4" Long and overall Length is 10 3/4". Steel is smooth and shiny and free of pits. Simple Buck Bros Logo. #36 stamped on Back. Sharpened Outcannel. If you have any questions, please send me an e-mail before the last day of the auction.
