Turkish "Evil Eye" decorative item. In Turkey, "Evil Eye"'s are believed to be protective against bad luck and bring good luck. Even today, many families hang these items at the entrances of their homes. The historical back ground of this belief goes way back to the times even before Turks became Muslims. Many archeologist believe that this belief is a part of the Shamanizm (which most Turkish tribes were before they became Muslims). This item can be hang on the wall. Total legth of it is around 7 1/2" and glass evil eye is around 2" in diameter. It is decorated with multiple small evil eye beads and horse shoe figure.
