Description

For auction I have a STELLAR, MINT condition, vintage, original, hand-made BEAD SAMPLE CARD from the famous WESTERN TRADING POST, 187 South Zuni Street, Denver, Colorado. This spectacular historical item was secured from a former trading post operator on the Yakama Indian Reservation who was in business between 1950s and 1970s in Wapato, Washington. The bead sample card looks to be 1940's-60's vintage and includes several colors of vintage "Size E" (small pony beads). The card has a nice patina and handwritten notes by the Western Trading Post staff (color codes, price per oz or lb, tips of loom work, etc.) for the trading post owner/operator clients. The bead card measures 8.25" X 3.70" and everything is intact and clean! Except for a light tape stain in the upper left hand corner of the postcard, this item is TIP TOP!! The card is in great condition, crisp, clean, and has great image quality!! This bead card is highy collectable due to unique role in the American Indian/Colonial American trade history as well as the above factors. This auction item will make a fine addition to any vintage bead, Tribal history, or American trade history reference collection. I have NO reserve and a low starting bid on this item so don't let this auction get away!!!
