This auction is for a beautiful museum quality hard to find antique wood plane. The cutting tool itself is a rare find made by Baldwin Tool Co. in a butchers cast steel (see picture). The Baldwin Tool Co. was only in business from 1841-1857. This baby has seen some use thats for sure. It is in excellent condition and measures 16" long by 6-3/8" high to top of handle and 3" square. The handle is still very sturdy. Shipping will be a flat rate of $9.80. Please note that we are not experts in every item we list; however, we do strive to describe our items to the best of our ability and list any major defects we are aware of at the time of listing. Any minor defects not visible to the naked eye or through touch may not be noted. Most of our items are vintage or antique from estate sales and as such are being sold "As Is".
