Description

Thank you for viewing my auction. I have been collecting for almost 50 years and purchased all my items from the most reputable sources but mostly at auction in London. The majority of purchases were made in the 1960's-80's when good things were available on a regular basis. I will be selling over 1000 items in the next few months so be sure to bookmark the Sunnytampa seller page as I will be adding rare and interesting items on a regular basis. Read our feedback and bid with confidence. Before the unification of England by William the Conquered, it was inhabited by Celts, Franks, Angles and Vikings who arrived in 866 and conquered about half of it.  They settled and lived a domestic life which included manufacturing necessities and luxuries including beads.  For auction is a Viking bead found in England dating C.866-1067.  For auction is a Viking faceted hard stone bead.  It is 6.5 mm long, over 1/4 inch and polished gray/white stone.  One of the best and most up to date references for these is the DVD study of Viking beads by Dan Carlsson available on the internet and this bead accords with the third example shown under carnelian and amethyst beads. This is a fine addition to any antiquities collection or modern jewelry creation.  Condition is as shown.  69VP Shipping is free Worldwide with the purchase of this item. Payment: Your choice of Paypal, Visa, MasterCard, or U.S. Postal Money Order. View 100's of Rare and Ancient Beads in my Ebay Store!
