Description

Hi this was at a estate sale and one of the family members said it was his great grandmothers. He also added that his grandmother said she remember it in her mothers Creamery when she was a little girl and she was born in 1899.When you push down the leaver in pictures 7&10 a bell rings and the draw opens at the bottom. The top draw has a notch in it so it can be locked on its own .If I was guessing I would say that it was a old cash register that was used in the banks during cowboy days and that could date it to middle 1800's.Picture 8 is some kind of combination lock. And its nothing I have seen.Picture 3 has a shoot that runs all the way to the bottom draw for change.Picture 4 has King signed in it don't know much about that.Picture 6 looks like a plate was over this spot has some wearing or should say finger hole and the wood is still there.Needs repair there.Has the typical ware and uses for a cash register of this age .The draw still stays in and the bell rings when opened. You are looking at history here .A rare hard to find in working condition cash register one of the first one's made.Size is 14 1/4 wide 17 inches tall to the top of the metal. And from the front to back its 11 3/4 Just a nice size it also weights 12 lbs.1 oz.Thanks for reading and Happy Bidding Only U.S. checks and M.O.
