ANTIQUE MOTHER OF PEARL shell ETUI sewing case This is a very charming vintage mother of pearl case which dates to the 1900 era. I believe it was probably used on a chatelaine to hold small sewing items / needles etc. It is in good condition apart from a tiny nibble to the top layer of shell and running from this a very faint hairline which measures 7mm (see photo). Altogether a nice unusual item and a rare survivor. Measures approximately 3 inches (7.5 cm) across widest part.
