A sweet little antique shabby chic sewing or trinket box dating from around 1900. This box has an Art Nouveau escutcheon plate and a picture of kittens on the top. Inside is a miniature mirror in the form of a coin commemorating the coronation of George V, a little pinchbeck stick pin with a heart on top, one old pressed glass leaf button, one Victorian carved mother of pearl and brass button, 40 French jet buttons, 9 Victorian pink metal buttons decorated with anchors and 8 other antique buttons. The box and contents are in good condition, though the white paint on the box is shabby and worn. It measures 4.5 by 3.25 by 1.75 inches (11.5 by 8.5 by 4.5 cm.)
