Silver Art Deco Toast Rack BEAUTIFUL VICTORIAN ART NOUVEAU SILVER NURSE'S BUCKLE Colen Hewer Cheshire, Birmingham 1898 This is a beautiful Victorian Art Nouveau silver nurse's buckle. The bar where the hook clips into is slightly bent but this does not affect the opening and closing at all nor does it show when the buckle is done up. Other than that it is in excellent condition for its age. It has the following hallmarks Lion passant for Sterling Assay Mark - Anchor for Birmingham Makers Mark - CC for Colen Hewer Cheshire (I think, but please check pictures below) Date Letter - y for 1898 Duty Mark - None It has the following measurements: Length: 4.25 " (11cm) when the two pieces are together. Each piece measures just over 2" each Height: 2.5 " (6.5cm) Total weight 2.02oz (57.2grams) All measurements and weights are taken at their maximum points unless otherwise stated and are approximate. It would make an excellent addition to any Silver / Art Nouveau / Buckle / Collection. TERMS & CONDITIONS Now the boring but important bit so please read especially those in upper case. Overseas Bidders are welcome to pay with Bankers Drafts in Sterling Overseas cheques in dollars or euros accepted but there is an additional charge of £10.00 to cover bank costs (Same rates as above. If paying by Paypal, overseas buyers will have to have signed for mail. This is £3.50 more than normal Airmail costs but Paypal require tracking information when items are lost / damaged in the post. UK Bidders paying by Paypal will need either Recorded or Special Delivery unless item is very heavy when it will need to go Parcel Force. Only Trackable services are available. If in the unlikely event of loss or damage in the post I will do my best to claim insurance on your behalf as only the sender can claim. However, this is subject to the carriers terms and conditions and I will not take responsibility if they refuse the claim for whatever reason. I always pack well.
