Very rare antebellum document from Clarke County. Dated March 1860, this is a settlement of notes, accounts, and interest for the year 1859 at the firm of Carleton & Slade. Choctaw Corner was a thriving settlement until the War Between the States. Today it does not appear on the atlas. Great antebellum item from a dead town of Alabama.
