Offered for Sale is this Antique Three-Pound Cast Metal Measuring Weight. This may have been used on an early scale. It's weight is approximately three pounds; the number 3 is part of the casting and is visible on the top. There is an integral ring at the top. It's height is approximately 4" and it measures approximately 2 3/4" across at the base. There is an area of removed metal in the center of the base; likely where metal was removed to bring the cast metal to an "accurate" weight. The casting is crude. This would make an extraordinary paperweight, or a great doorstop in a restoration home. If you have an interest don't let this get away! Bid! If you've any questions please ask.
