Description

This is an Antique R 1-9 Front Destination Rollsign section, "COURT ST BORO HALL".  This sign came from the R 1-9 cars of the IND  subway built in the 1930s, which were scrapped in the 1970s.  This was one of the 2 signs that went over the front door of the car.  When we say It's from an R-1/9 you can be sure that's what it's from!  Court Street/Boro Hall is in Brooklyn - the current location of the New York City Transit Museum. The section measures approximately 19.5" x 14". Sign is made of black cloth. This sign section is in great condition. There is barely any subway grime on it, and it is ready to go on your wall or in a frame. The only blemish is a tiny tear in the lower right hand corner that's about half an inch in length. Please see the photo. Great for bar or restaurant, dorm room, den, etc.  Makes a unique gift that you can't buy at Sears or Target (leave the wife a hint LOL).    Truly a museum quality antique.  Own a piece of NY history! Personal checks accepted OR money order accepted. Sorry, but we DO NOT accept paypal.  Item will be shipped for $5.00 via USPS Priority Mail from North Carolina, 27546.  Thanks and good luck!
