You are Bidding on 1 Old Whiskey Bottle by WH Jones Boston Importers - Embossed Logo and an Overprinted/Double Dated/Slip of the Hand 1903 Dates on Bottom. This is a Clear Glass Embossed Bottle Standing 10 1/4" Tall. Photo's show Front, Back, Bottom and Side with Crack. Fancy Embossed Scroll-Work Logo (Trade Mark) with Embossed Sheep on Front. Front of Bottle is Embossed "ESTABLISHED -1851- (scroll-work trade mark symbol with sheep) W.H.JONES&CO. IMPORTERS HANOVER AND BLACKSTONE STS. BOSTON,MASS." Bottle Edges have a 9/16" Wide Raised Glass Strip that runs from the side of the neck to the Base on Both sides of Bottle. **On the Base (Underside of the Bottle) is an Indented Circle that 'kicks up' some into Bottle. Embossed in a Straight Normal Horizontal Line across Center is the Date "1903". A little Above and Beginning Slightly to the Left of this embossing and on a slight upward Angle is the "1903" again a Second Time. The Bottom of the "9" in this second 1903 date slightly overlaps the "1" in the Embossed Normal 1903 Date and continues at an angle to complete the Second 1903 Date which I think is the 'slip of the hand' and resulting 'overprint'. This Second in Error and Angled 1903 is not in Raised Embossed Letters but Rather each Digit is Outlined on all Edges and the Surface feels Smooth with this date seemingly locked inside the glass surface.** Air Bubbles present in the Glass with 1 Rather Large Oval Shaped Bubble on rear of Bottle that is Exceptional in Appearance. There appears to be a Crack from Bottom right Curving to Right Side and up a Little but Bottle is Solid and Holds Water (tested). Cannot feel crack with finger tips. May be a small Ding in area of Embossed Sheep And may be a couple of Dings on Back but could also be the Way Bottle was made. Because of the "Double" overlapping 1903 Date on Base, this Should be a One-of-A-Kind Bottle. Flat fee shipping to anywhere Continental USA 9.80 via USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate Box.
