Argonaut Vintage Sales Catalog Silver Prints Spec Sheet Extremely Rare, very few in existence, never on market! You are bidding on An Extremely Rare Car Information Packet for the Argonaut Automobile Company In fact, I do not even know what to call this, and every expert I sent to pictures is also stumped Most of the antique car dealers I talked to, were familiar with the Argonaut Car company, but no one had ever seen this before The Argonaut Car Company existed from 1959-1963?, car prices were supposed to $26,000+, expensive for that time. There is a pretty good Wikipedia article about the company. Only one known car was every built, it was at a museum for awhile, but today no one knows where that car is. The picture of the Chassis they used to build the prototype is included in this brochure. The Sales Literature is included in a portfolio that measures 14.5 inches x 8 inches. It is red felt lined, and the Argonaut Emblem appears to be Sterling Silver. Included in the upper portion of the portfolio is an actual picture of the chassis used for the protoype, one price schedule, another price schedule (but does not have the printing on the outside), a Specifications Pamphlet, and a Engineering Pamphlet. The Lower Section Contains 7 Prints (7.5 inches x 14 inches). These are Artist renditions of what each model was to look like. The models include SPORTIVE, SMOKE, FORMAL COUPE, STATE LIMOUSINE, STEED, SEDAN, and CONVERTIBLE As you can see from the scans, there are a couple of creases on various prints. I am not sure if this was intended to be given to Press, Investors, or ??? This came from an Estate Collection of car items that belonged to the President of the Model Car Association. I cannot imagine this is the only one in existence, but I bet there are only a few at most. NEAR MINT Would be mint except for some very minor damage like a small stain, tiny nick, light scratch, small cracked surface bubble, or tiny patches of wear. EXCELLENT No chips, cracks, crazing, discoloration, few inperfections and no signs of serious use. May have minor usage marks from light prior use. Manufacturing defects will be minor in size and frequency. VERY GOOD This is the low end of excellent condition but maybe a few more minor, below average imperfections or marks. Perhaps imperfection(s) is a bit larger in size than excellent. Still very collectible. GOOD Some scratches and shows minor-to-moderate wear. May have some minor staining, minor cracks, crazing and/or discoloration. May have some minor nicks but no chips. FAIR Multiple defects and regularly used. May be restorable in some cases. May have a value if is a rare item. GENERAL POLICIES RETURNS We will accept returns on any items incorrectly described (such as incorrect model number wrong manufacturer) within 7 days. Payment can be expected within 4 days of our receiving and inspecting the returned item. Item must be in the same condition as when it was sold.
