This auction is for the awesome carved wood, victorian needle case pictured. It is in the excellent condition shown. The white circle just below the bust of Queen Victoria in the pictures is a reflection on the wood. There is a dimple there than caused the illusion. This piece is fantastic. It has an overall floral design carved in it. Very 3-demential. Has a bust of Queen Victoria on the top. That dates it between 1837 and 1901. I would guess it is from approx. 1850-1860. This needle case has two seperate compartments for the needles. Has no damage. Wonderful patina to the wood. Measures 4 3/4 inches long. One of the finest examples of a victorian carved wooden needle case you will find. A great piece of victorian royal memorabelia as well. A top shelf piece for any collection.
