Battersea Pewter Ltd I distributed Battersea thimbles from 1978 until they ceased making thimbles in about 1982. The company was really in the belt buckle business in Colorado. Belt buckles became very HOT in the industry and they abandoned thimbles. The date 1978 was the year the thimble was designed.
