This is an early 1900's or possibly late 1800's beaded Native American Indian trade heart-shaped whimsey, probably Iroquois. Size is about 10" wide, 7" tall, and 2 1/2" thick. Condition is excellent, no loose stitching or beading. Colorful floral and vine beaded design on rich red velveteen front and back (back side is same color as front, not as shown in my 6th picture). Material inside is sand or something similar, rather heavy. There is some evidence of use as a pin cushion as seen on front, otherwise no damage. This is a beautiful example of early Iroquois beadwork which you will be proud to add to your collection or to give as a gift! Questions? Please email me before bidding, I will be happy to respond. Shipment by USPS Parcel Post or Priority mail from 73013. COST DEPENDS ON WEIGHT AND DESTINATION ONLY, NO EXTRA HANDLING/MATERIALS CHARGE. Insurance optional, but recommended.
