Description

CANADIAN BIDDERS SHIPPING & HANDLING: IGNORE THE eBAY NOTICE AT THE BOTTOM OF THE LISTING WHICH GIVES THE WRONG RATE FOR SHIPPING TO CANADA.  SEE MY "SHIPPING COST DETAILS" NOTES, AFTER THE ITEM DESCRIPTION BELOW, FOR THE CORRECT (LOWER) RATES. ONLY HIGH QUALITY SLIDES, PHOTOS AND NEGATIVES ARE SOLD BY bear4922 - WE THROW OUT THE JUNK, NOT OFFER IT ON eBAY.  SEE OUR FEEDBACK FROM SATISFIED BIDDERS Please read, very carefully, everything in the descriptive material following, in particular the payment terms as regards absolutely no PayPal eChecks.  I am not responsible for any misunderstandings on the part of bidders.   8x10 PHOTO: EPSON ARCHIVAL QUALITY - FILE # 19630 TORONTO TRANSIT COMMISSION 1921 CC&F BRILL MODEL CD-44A HILLCREST SHOPS - JANUARY 19 1956   NOTES CONCERNING ITEMS DESCRIBED (ADDITIONAL INFORMATION) Second chance offers may be made to bidders who make legitimate efforts to win the item. There is no overlay on any of our offerings - they'd be worthless if there was. Forget what you thought you knew about digital images - our prints are superior to most digital prints offered on eBay.  Our feedback clearly indicates customer satisfaction! All the photos we make are very high quality LONG LIFE digital images on 8x10 glossy extremely high grade photographic paper.  Image width is generally 9-3/4 inches, while depth depends on the cropping used in our efforts to produce images with the best possible composition (including straightening, spotting and some shadow control).  Some photos may be true 8x10 size borderless and will be so stated where that is the case. See the illustration above to determine if this photograph is color OR black-and-white.  If you do not see color on the illustration (excluding the overlay), it is a black and white print made from a negative.  All photos are made using Epson's new technology R2400 printer that produces exceptionally realistic colors or true black and white (no more grayscale color cast - of the eight inks used by this printer, five are used exclusively to optimize black and white printing.  Epson claims up to 200-years for prints made with this printer and its inks. Color slides are scanned with either a high quality Nikon 5000 scanner at 4000 dpi or an Epson V700 scanner at anywhere from 6400-9600 dpi, depending on how much of the image is actually being used.  Some older color scans were done with a Hewlett Packard scanner at 3200 dpi and are of very good quality as well.  B&W negatives, the great majority of size 616 (2-1/2 x 4-1/4 inches) or larger, may have been scanned with the Epson V700, if newly-scanned.  Some older scans were made with either high quality Microtek or Canon scanners at up to 3200 dpi.  We painstakingly correct the images where necessary to rid them of dust spots and scratches. The majority of color images that I list, about 98% of offerings, are from Kodachrome film of various vintages  The remainder are from Ektachrome, a very few Anscochrome and the odd other film, with color restoration as required if images have, over time, slanted towards red or have faded (or both).  Such restorations are not always absolutely perfect, as the action depends on the amount of color loss or fade, but we do our best.   SHIPPING & PACKING DETAILS PHOTOGRAPHS TO USA OR OVERSEAS - add a flat fee of US$4.50 for up to 5 photos (US$8.75 for from 6-18 photos) to a continental USA address, or a flat fee of $8.00 for air mail for up to 5 photos (US$14.00 for from 6 to 18 photos) to other non-Canadian addresses to cover all costs involved with secure packaging and shipment, except insurance.  For higher numbers of photos, additional costs may apply. PHOTOGRAPHS TO CANADIAN ADDRESSES - add a flat fee of US$3.50 for up to 5 photos (US $5.25 for from 6-18 photos to cover all costs involved with secure packaging and shipment, except insurance.  For higher numbers of photos, additional costs may apply. Ignore the eBay shipping prices for Canada in the details at the bottom - they're wrong AND THEY OFFER NO WAY TO SEPARATE CANADA FROM "REST OF THE WORLD". SHIPPING CONTAINERS FOR PHOTOGRAPHS OR MAPS - we use either thick cardboard photo mailers for small numbers of photos (no more than 5) or maps OR bubble envelopes with 2 custom-produced thick packing boards (expensive to have made but worth it, not cheap or thin light cardboard that can easily be bent).  Photos and maps in all shipping containers are placed in a clear archival sleeve as well (also costly but required for your protection).  Bubble envelopes also bear DO NOT BEND stickers and all envelopes are taped where necessary.  All these features are included in the flat fees charged - we will not ship using cheaper methods which may put your purchase at risk during delivery. MAILINGS ARE NO LONGER INSURED BY US.  BUYERS REQUIRING INSURANCE MUST ASK FOR IT BEFORE PAYING BUT BEAR IN MIND IT WILL REQUIRE A LEVEL OF POSTAGE COST THAT WILL PROVIDE TRACKING INFORMATION AND THE RATES INDICATED ABOVE WILL NOT APPLY TO INSURED PACKAGES. ALL PACKAGES ARE SHIPPED SECURELY AND PROMPTLY AFTER PAYMENT IS RECEIVED.  WE CANNOT ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY FOR ERRATIC POST OFFICE DELIVERY TIMES.  SHIPPING TIMES PROVIDED IN eBAY WORDINGS BELOW ARE GENERIC, SELECTED FROM A POOR SELECTION OF PROVIDED OPTIONS WHICH DO NOT NECESSARILY ALLOW FOR REQUIRED TRANSIT TIMES.   CONTACT AFTER THE AUCTION PLEASE WAIT FOR MY INVOICE BEFORE PAYING.  After the auction closes, I will send an invoice to the winning bidder, usually within a few hours of closing and generally sooner, with all information needed to finalize the transaction. The invoice is actually sent by CHECKOUT @ eBAY.COM but is issued at my direction - you should not consider that eMail as spam - please set any filters to allow receipt of that mail. The winning bidder MUST contact me within 72 hours of the auction closing time and arrangements to pay my invoice must be made within 7 days. Full payment must be received by the seller within 14 days of the auction closing time, unless we have mutually agreed upon an alternative. Failure to comply may result in cancellation of the sale.   PAYMENT DETAILS (US FUNDS ONLY) I do NOT accept checks of any kind, including PayPal eChecks, which royally mess up my accounting system totals because of the delay factor (if you send a PayPal eCheck, I will cancel it and refund your payment). GST of 5% of the total amount applies to all purchases made in Canada or to be shipped to a Canadian address. I accept Paypal INSTANT PAYMENTS, not eChecks (all items purchased must be combined as one total, as I will NOT accept individual payments and the increased fee structure resulting). I also accept INTERNATIONAL MONEY ORDERS - for those using USPS Money orders this means the form with the PINK edges, not the form with the GREEN edges as those cannot be cashed outside the USA. IF YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO COMPLY WITH THESE TERMS THEN PLEASE DO NOT BID.   FINAL WORDS Check out my other current auctions to find more items for trolley, streetcar, tram, interurban, subway, elevated, rapid transit, light rail, strassenbahn, trolleybus, bus, steam and diesel subjects.  Add bear4922 to your Favorite Sellers page to access my auctions as soon as they are listed.
