This is an original lithograph print depicting a scene from the battle of Lake Erie, one of the critical battles of the war of 1812. It was made in 1874 by Johnson, Wilson Company of New York, after a painting by W.H. Powell. It measures about 7 1/2 x 10 3/4 inches overall, and the image area is roughly 8 x 6 1/4 including the title. The paper is a bit toned as you can see in the picture. If you'd like a bigger scan just ask. The print would look nice matted and framed. It IS a plate from a book, but I bought it in a lot of prints. I wasn't the one that cut it out.
