You are bidding on approximately 1 ounce of fine grain beach sand From Magen’s Bay, in the United States Virgin Islands. Included for free with this sand is a picture of Mr. Crabs, The one who excavated the sand right in front of me. This is coral sand, and not the type of silica sand we’re accustomed to in the continental USA If you close your eyes, and let your imagination go, you can almost hear the island music, the taste of Cruzan rum and that elegant smell of local home grown “herbs†gracing your senses. This sand was collected by me in February 2008 after Mr. Crabs was done with his excavation duties. No crabs were harmed, harassed or embarrassed in this process! Besides having your own little piece of an Island Tropical paradise, this can be used as a great tool for teachers to show students the varieties of sand from different regions in the world. Uses include science projects, sand collection displays, arts & crafts, microscopic activities and so on. Shipping is done only in a USPS flat rate envelope.
