We offer for auction a fabulous Boucheron Compact! It is a stunning Jewel. This Vintage compact belonged to one of our relatives (born in 1903) and the style is (in our humble opinion) Art Deco . It is engraved "Boucheron Paris" and it is numbered. A beautifull work of art and an example of ingenious design all in a very usable package. The exterior is luxuriously decorated in designs of birds and flowers made by cutting the silver surface of the top and engraving the remaining surface. The bottom has a silver "bead line" texture. Accents on the top surface are Rubies (we have taken it to be examined by Jewler). A gold clasp keeps the compact closed. Once open the interior reveals a silver "bead line" texture finish on the main surfaces. Two of those surfaces are spring loaded. By pulling slightly on the top one it will release, and hinge open the mirror. The lower compartment opens the same way for the powder puff and powder compartment. This precious vintage Art Deco compact comes with it's original Boucheron leather sleeve with the Boucheron name stamped on the inside (please refer to pictures).
