Here is a box lot of vintage Bakelite and other plastic items. They are all in good condition unless we mention a specific problem. There is a pair of Scotty dogs holding pencils, these are not Bakelite but are really cute. They measure 2 1/2" high not counting the pencils. There are two cigarette holders, the one with the squarer end is Bakelite. Next are 4 animal shape napkin rings - a fish, rabbit, dig and duck. They are faded. There are two butterscotch Bakelite egg shaped salt and pepper shakers that measure a bit over 2" high. Also included is a bunch of maroon carved Bakelite buttons and or clips that range in size from 1 1/4" - 1 1/2" in diameter. The watch is not Bakelite, it is a pin, made by New Haven, and seems to be running. There are two chunky Bakelite hat ? pins that measure 4" long, and a Bakelite pencil sharpener from the NY World's Fair, and one that used to have a thermometer attached that is mostly off now . We charge exact shipping based on packed weight and box size plus insurance based on sold price plus a fee to cover the packing materials - 2.00 for this auction. This allows us to start most auctions at 9.99. We do not charge a handling fee. We work hard to answer all emails, give accurate shipping quotes, and compare shipping options to find the best deal for bidders. Fed Ex has consistently offered better rates, is much faster than parcel post, has better tracking, and on the rare occasion there is damage a claim is usually paid within 10 days. We do not use the shipping calculator for several reasons, one is that Fed Ex is not an option on the calculator, and another is if we have to pack to get the exact weight and size then we would not be able to answer questions. Need an estimate on shipping, just ask. We take pride in our packing, and we ship same or next day. Please take the time to read the information below so that there is not a problem later with something that was clearly explained. If you have a question or need clarification on any of the terms of our auctions, please email or call us at 585-330-3971. Bidding is agreeing to all terms of the auction. PAYMENT DETAILS: PAYPAL OR U.S. POST OFFICE money orders only. Payment (in a form we take) due within 7 days of auction end. Do not pay until we invoice please - we need time the morning after the auction to compare shippers. No communication within 7 days or late payments will result in unpaid item filings. QUESTIONS: Items are described to the best of our ability. If something is not clear, don’t guess or assume, please ask. If we are not familiar with an item we may not know something is missing, or if it is "right". Items are consigned, these are not our items and we do not know their history. We can not be responsible for restoration or incomplete items that we are unaware of or for concealed damage. If we have described something incorrectly or missed something important please let us know so we can fix the listing or add a note - we welcome experts information and an oversight or lack of knowledge on our part is not an attempt to deceive. Photos are part of the description along with the written information. We will gladly provide additional photos if needed. BOX LOTS or large groups or collections of items are not described individually but we will try to answer questions about a particular item you see in a box lot if possible. Box lots are as is as found no exceptions no returns, if something is obviously not in good condition we will certainly mention it, but we do not inspect every detail of every piece, that would prohibit listing with no reserve. SHIPPING: We charge actual shipping and insurance costs plus a fee to cover packing materials based on each auction. This is within Ebay’s guidelines. We do not charge a handling fee. Need a quote just ask but we can not pre-pack every auction, we handle a lot of bulky and/or heavy items so there is no way to be exact until packed, weighed and measured but we are very close on our estimates. Delivery confirmation is used on all US purchases. Insurance is required on all auctions so no first class international, sorry. The auction sold price is the only amount that will be used on insurance or customs forms. If an item can not be insured to your country for the auction price or it is prohibited to ship we may have to sell to the back bidder, it is your responsibility to know your country's limits and restrictions. DAMAGE/RETURN POLICY: If you receive a damaged item either party can start a claim, do not throw away the box or packing materials until it is inspected. If you receive an item and it is significantly different than we described, we will issue a refund once the item is received back and we verify that it is the same item that was sent. When we accept a return we will reimburse shipping both ways - if it is our fault you should not loose any money. You must let us know if there is a problem within 3 days of receiving an item, after that we will not accept a return. Items sold as is as found are not returnable. Items are not sold on approval and if you are unsure about anything please do not bid without asking questions, and we will not accept a return based on something subjective or because the color did not fit in to your decorating scheme once you got it - this is not Wal-mart. We are selling antiques and collectibles and used or older items which will have imperfections, wear, minor damage, sometimes odors, or other age or use related issues. Items returned must be done so with insurance and delivery confirmation. International shipments that are not received require an inquiry before the insurance claim can be filed, and most of the time the package is found sitting in customs, so please be patient, it is a slow process. SALES TAX will be added to purchases by all New York State Residents unless you provide a valid Resale Tax number. NY tax rates are based on where the item is delivered and applies to shipping and handling so amount is unknown until auction end.
