CALCITE 12200 7th level (bottom), el Potosi Mine, Santa Eulalia, Chihuahua, Mexico Showy, unusual-(1) fairly steep Calcite scalenohedrons, (2) covered with a layer of dark iron oxides, (3) partially overgrown with flatter Calcite rhombs, (4) covered with lighter colored iron oxides. These have to be back packed 1/2 mile vertically, rarely collected. Shows a broken crystal in the second photo. from Peter MeGaw-4/11/2007 9x5.2x4 cm, 5.0 ounces. Small Cabinet size.
