Description

This unrestored Century fan is a MODEL 15 TYPE S3 as stated on the metal tag that is located on it's motor's housing. It has brass blades and a brass cage. The painted components are in black with some chips and scratches. There is no major rust or pitting that is visible. Nevermind the greenish tinge in some of the images. These are reflections from the green foliage that surrounds the area where I took them on this sunny July day. I removed the base cover to show the switch contacts and wiring (see image). The wire leading to the terminal that is marked LINE, is broken off.  The power cord's insulation has some cracks also. Therefore, as I am unable to safely test this, the item is being sold as NOT WORKING. In other words; AS IS. I will leave any repairs and it's restoration to the buyer. The blade measures 12". The cage; 13". The whole unit weighs almost 20 lbs.  -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Please ask any and all questions BEFORE you place a bid. I will answer as quickly as possible. I will not be answering emails asking that I end the auction early for a BUY IT NOW or a "back-door deal". Shipping will cost $28.50 within the USA via PARCEL POST with Delivery Confirmation. Insurance is optional, but highly recommended. ATTENTION: I refuse to be held liable for loss or damage incurred during transit when the offered insurance was declined by the buyer.   FOREIGN BIDDERS: ("Foreign" includes CANADA), please email us for a quote. All parcels shipped to foreign countries will be by Recorded USPS International Priority Mail PLUS insurance and Signature Confirmation/Return Receipt. FULL VALUE will be declared on the customs forms. Simply DO NOT BID if you disagree with this.On Jul-08-08 at 05:54:53 PDT, seller added the following information:Blade spins freely and it's shaft is tight in it's bearing - DOES NOT "WOBBLE"
