Autograph letter signed, one page, on printed letterhead of the Shelton Hotel, New York, reading: “Feb 11, 1940 My dear Mr. Blatchford: With the best will in the world I cannot repeat the names of the books and authors I may have given you, but it probably included ‘Wind, Sand and Stars’ by d’Expery which you may have read already because it is a best seller. To me it is head and shoulders above all the other ‘books of the day.’ I am glad that you and your wife liked ‘Delphic Woman.’ I hope that I may see you some time again Sincerely Claude Bragdonâ€. With a few creases, else fine. Please note that apparent browning or discoloration along top edge is a shadow from the scanner and is not actually present on the piece. Approximately 6†x 9 1/2â€.
