Inspired by the mysterious giant stone Moai of Easter Island. I start by casting a blank in a light weight concrete mixture, which is then carved and smoothed to finish. The natural variations of the exposed aggregate and the small pits add to the weathered stone appearance. As a result of the hand finishing process, no 2 are exactly alike and each has a slightly different appearance and personality. Resembles smooth granite. Approximately 10 ½ inches in height. Finished with a protective clear coat. While this lightweight material will float on water, it is an actual concrete product, not resin or plaster. It looks good enough to be used indoors and is durable enough for outdoors. This stoic guardian looks great watching over a garden, pool area, tiki bar, or in amongst a grouping of tropical house plants.
